DMCA Copyright Policy

Paranormal Daily respects copyright. The broadcast summarizes and credits other outlets' reporting and links to it; user comments are the users' own. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, here is how to tell us.

Where to send a notice

Designated agent: info+paranormal@greenrobot.com (subject line "DMCA"). We act on complete notices promptly and reply to the sender.

What a notice must contain

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
  2. The address of the material on Paranormal Daily you say infringes it, precise enough for us to find it.
  3. Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Notices that misrepresent infringement can carry liability under section 512(f) of the DMCA. If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, consider getting legal advice first.

What we do with it

On a complete notice we remove or disable access to the material, notify the user who posted it if it is user content, and keep a record of the notice. For the broadcast itself, which quotes summaries of published news with attribution and links, we will review the use and respond; we also correct or remove segments that turn out to be wrong regardless of copyright.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address containing: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward counter-notices to the complainant and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
